Burglar Alarms

A professionally fitted intruder alarm is an essential requirement for a secure home and may even be required by your insurance company.

In addition, home office research shows that having the presence of an alarm outside your property acts as a deterrent to 84% of burglars.

Two main types of alarms are now available, wired or wireless.  In the majority of circumstances, I recommend the fitting of wired systems as these have proved to be more reliable than wireless and have lower maintenance requirement e.g. changing of batteries in sensors.

If you opt for a wired system you do not need to be concerned about having unsightly cables showing, either clipped to door frames or to skirting boards as I am expert in routing cables invisibly.

The pictures below show cabling in a brand new Persimmon house and no damage to decor and it now has 8 cables in place ready for detectors to be fitted.

If for any reason your house is unsuitable to fit a wired alarm, then I am happy to supply and fit a wireless system.

Gone are the days of unsightly alarm control panels – I fit discreet keypads adjacent to your door and hide the main control box in an inconspicuous location.
